Managing the Risks of 409 / The Reality of Real-Time Reporting - Two articles that talk to an area of the Sarbanes-Oxley law that is not focused on as much as it should: real-time reporting.  These articles do a good job at dissecting this section of the law and helps allow readers to get their arms around the issue.  I find the best statement is: "CFOs are going to have a huge challenge on their hands to comply with 409," says Richard Roth, chief research officer at The Hackett Group. "Even at the best companies, it's a tremendous task to find and reconcile data and get it back to the business unit" for confirmation. Finance executives at companies with many operating units, each with differing data standards, will find it particularly tough sledding, he adds

Using Software To Sniff Out Fraud (Business Week) - Article focuses on the trends in business and audit firms to use more data analysis (be they expensive or free) to combat fraud.  And as best stated by Toby Bishop in the article: Eventually, basic accounting software will incorporate many of the tools that now come in anti-fraud programs.
