Software Expo Announced
For
Audit and Assurance Market
NEW JERSEY, January 23, 2004 On March 11, 2004, The Institute of
Internal Auditors (The IIA) North Jersey Chapter will host a vendor expo: Making
Sense of The Audit and Assurance Market In a SarbOx Environment.
It is the first expo of its kind, bringing together the leading
audit and assurance software vendors from around the world. The
expo is geared to auditors and financial analysts looking to expand their
understanding of audit software. “The market is awash in software
to help auditors meet their respective challenges, especially in light of
new regulations. “We
hope to help auditors sort through the solutions with an expo devoted to
the benefits of key software categories and by providing practical tools
for attendees,” notes Jacqueline Breslauer, the Chapter President. “Many of the country’s Fortune 500 companies are
headquartered in New Jersey, and the auditors
working within those organizations are rapidly expanding their usage of
audit software.” The expo is an all-day event and
will cover a variety of issues, including an opportunity to discuss
current challenges in meeting the fast approaching SarbOx deadlines. “Auditors
play a pivotal role in helping companies with this legislation, and
understanding the myriad of software tools available is critical to their
success,” says Breslauer. The expo is designed to help audit professionals address the
following issues:
The Expo will be held at Prime Hotel and Suites (formerly the
Radisson) in Fairfield, NJ on March 11, 2004 from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
